Visual: Deep mahogany; pours thin with an espresso-style crema. Head retention is brief. Body: Medium-bodied; lighter than anticipated for the style but far from watery. Flavor Profile: Exceptional. High notes of residual sweetness effectively balance a robust, smoky, and "boozy" core. The flavors are remarkably well-integrated. Overall: A beautiful, harmonious Imperial Stout that hides its 11.2% strength behind layers of complexity.
