Advent Calendar Beer #️⃣2️⃣1️⃣. Another edition of the Divine Comédie series. This time Amarone barreled. Amarone is a full-flavored red wine from Valpolicella, Northern Italy. Okay. Opaque, jet black is the color. The carbonation is significantly subdued. The head is fawn, velvety and half a finger in size. The duration seems to be extremely long. Red wine is soft and mature in the air, accompanied by barrel nuances, leather, purple grape, faint plum and a wisp of vanilla. The wine dominates the fragrance but doesn't overwhelm my nose though. Therefore, I'd say that this is fairly balanced as an olfactory supply. The taste offers red wine big time. Mature, round. Overshadows the basic style flavors, unfortunately. The components include purple grape, a bit of plum, purple gooseberry, vanilla and ample oak barrel notes. Occasional hints of dark chocolate can be observed on the sides of the tongue. Nice, unaggressive, balanced, but hides the basic characteristics of an Imperial Stout. The body is full. The aftertaste is equally powerful with red wine and several other flavors that are familiar from the earlier experience. Including vanilla. The mouthfeel is full, vinous, barrel aged, deep and intense. Fairly enjoyable. Balanced flavorwise but unbalanced stylewise.

Nez sur les agrumes (orange, clémentine). En bouche c'est bien sur les agrumes (orange, pamplemousse et clémentine). Le tout est relevé par une très jolie amertume. Fin de bouche sur les agrumes, végétal et légèrement résineux. Super IPA !

Énorme grosse mousse à l’horizon. Très houblonnée, très amère …oui il lui manque un petit plus … Une IPA basique 🥴
