Kinda sweet, strong bourbon taste throughout, hint of sweet oatmeal aftertaste

Strong malty taste to start that leads to a nice bourbon aftertaste, some abv taste, pretty nice

Strong bourbon taste, not very sweet or much flavor beyond the bourbon

Strong bourbon taste, hints of caremel but a definite alcohol taste, tiny bit sweet

Faint peach on the nose. Light peach (not artificial either!) at the start but finishes with a touch of hops on the finish. Little bit of an awkward transition thru the middle but not enough to keep me from enjoying this.

Had a great taste for a dark beer

A revisit: I downgraded this from before based on it being a bit too juicy and not enough hops bite to it. Forget what I had in front of this last time, but this time I had two other IPAs in front of this and I'm sure both times I've been influenced by those factors. I just checked: last time I had Black Angel, a stout, in front of this. It was charred malt start to finish.
