A revisit: I downgraded this from before based on it being a bit too juicy and not enough hops bite to it. Forget what I had in front of this last time, but this time I had two other IPAs in front of this and I'm sure both times I've been influenced by those factors.

I'm back at the Cigar Bar, and it's definitely not for a cigar. They're the only ones that have such unique beers available. This is from Dragons Milk and it's a powerful golden ale aged in bourbon barrels. At 11% I guess it's one and go home for me.
Color is a deep sunset yellow orange. Foamy yellow head that dissipates fairly quick. Taste immediately gives an alcohol sting to the tongue, seems stronger than 11%. The honey sweetness crashes the pallet until a combination raw oak barreled bourbon and vanilla results in pleasent warmth. The finish has no difference in flavor but the alcohol begins to invade the entire nasal cavity.
I've had very few beers with such a distinctive and unmistakable honey flavor. I'm a dessert stout lover, so for me to say a beer is almost too sweet is remarkable. It's interesting but a one and done for me.

Not for me. Another one of those birthday-party-fruit-punch "beers".

Yllättävän kepeä kaikin puolin. Vaikka ei laimea ei jämäkkyyttä maussa minkään ominaisuuden muodossa. Tasaisen tappava tumma ilman erikoisuuksia.

This is not the actual beer. The beer I have is the Coffee/Chocolate but the scan keeps pulling up the wrong one.
