Re-done, re-released version clocking in at 13.5%, instead of the usual 11% abv. I was told this was due to them not finishing this beer in bourbon barrels after the aging in rum barrels. Doesn't make sense to me, but that's their story. Huge rum aroma that I can smell a ways away from the glass. Although the rum is obnoxiously strong in this new version of this great beer, the coconut still comes through underneath it. Faint oak aroma at this point, but we'll see how this evolves as it warms more. I'll be sipping on this one for a while. Taste has rum up front, followed by rum. This is somewhat warmer than refrigerator temperature, but at this point, the coconut is barely noticeable. I'm gonna sip on this for a while and update as it changes. 4/5 Update: as this warms, the coconut is showing up. Not super prominent, but it's there. 4.25/5
