Interesting. Heavier for a red but good flavor.

Modest head. Color is not completely clear, rusty red in color. For a Red Ale it has a distinct alcohol aroma. 11% is pretty strong for a Red Ale. Whoa, lots of flavor. Quickly get a sweet bitter, raisin stone fruit, and that Bourbon barrel alcohol. This has a lot of punch in both flavor and alcohol profile. The flavor attacks the back of the tongue with a raw honey sweetness and strong oak barrel. The finish adds some earthy and leather notes. I've had some powerful stouts that don't pack the punch that this has. Nothing subtle or relaxing about it. It attacks you like a dragon would, guess that's fitting. No doubt this is a very good beer but it's not quite for me. I like my red ales more subtle and laid back. This comes at you like a tornado. If that's what you like then this is definitely for you.

VAAHTO: Kermainen, sormen mittaan nouseva, kevyesti paahteisen beige. Kestävä. GREY’S VIEW 1 kuukauden Bourbon Tynnyröity Imperial Red Ale Katsotaan ensisiemaus. Okokok. Kermaista sorttia. Antaa vielä asettua lisää. No onhan se nättiä tavaraa. Hittolainen. Kermaisen pehmeää, pähkinää, tammipuuta, sikarimaista tupakkaa, syksynlehtiä, punamarjaa suoraan sieltä puhtaimman suon perukoilta. Mmhph. Bourbon on sävyinen tässä, ei roolissa, vaan sävynä ja itselle se on mielenkiintoinen piirto tekijöiltä. Arvostan. Runko on medium tasoinen, kermaisen pehmeä ja lopulta saunapuumaisen kuivahko, hitaasti huokoset tukkivan moninainen, antoisan helppo. Miellyttävä. MUUTA MAINITTAVAA: Hienosti tehty kokonaisuus tuo on. Riittoisasti Red Ale piirteitä, mutta myös pehmeämpiä kohtia antava. Itse myös nautin BA kamppeen ”kepeydestä” tässä. Monipuolisen oloista.
