Sweet cherry aroma with some chocolate. Taste has the same. Very sweet, almost tart cherry along with some chocolate. The bourbon kind of takes a back seat to the sweetness of the cherries, but it's there. Very smooth with the abv hidden extremely well. Great stout. 4.5/5

Slightly tart cherry and a nice milk chocolate. Some oak, but not a lot of bourbon, as it's well hidden beneath the other flavors. Very well made stout. 4.5/5

Had to finish the night with a beer that would make up for the train wreck of a beer I just had. This one is great. Real tasting cherry with a great, tasty chocolate. I can't wait to try this with some age on it. Maybe the barrel aging will become more apparent at that point. As it stands, an incredible addition to the Dragon's Milk lineup. 4.5/5

Mmm. Delicious. The sweetness, yet slightly tart cherries dance well with the chocolate in this beer. Tastes like a chocolate covered cherry. Reminiscent of a cherry tootsie roll pop, but with real ingredients used. Great variant of the dragon's milk series and I can't wait to try this with some age on it. 4.5/5

I'm getting cherries and chocolate in the aroma. No bourbon, but a little bit of oak from the barrel aging. The taste introduces a subtle tart cherry and some chocolate. Little bit of bourbon in the mouth, but no warmth on the way down. Not much, if any, oak in the flavor. 4.25/5

What can I say? I'm getting exactly what is advertised in the aroma. Tart cherries and chocolate. This is tasty. In the taste, I'm getting a tart, yet surprisingly subtle cherry and sweet, rich chocolate. Alcohol is nonexistent in the taste. I would never guess this is 11% abv in a blind taste test. I can't really say the bourbon really stands out in the reserve series, but I would never guess this to be bourbon barrel aged. It is, however, phenomenal. Tasty, tasty beer and highly recommended. The bourbon comes out more in the aroma as it approaches 60 degrees. Still not really in the taste a whole lot, but it's coming through now some. Yep, bourbon is definitely there now. This is good, good, good. 4.5/5
