The “Mexican Cake” flavor has become a popular one in beer, combining flavors of cinnamon, chilis and vanilla. New Holland aged this beer for 3 months in bourbon barrels, with toasted chiles, cocoa nibs, vanilla beans and cinnamon.

Having on tap for the first time. Just an outstanding imperial stout. Packs a punch at 11 percent but doesn't quite taste that strong. Happy sunday.

I like it better than my first impression. I definitely enjoyed the subtle, but noticeable, spices in this beer. This one was aged for half a year and I'm excited to see what another year will do to this one
