New Holland decided to brew this again, so I'll compare 2020 and 2021 vintages. 2020: Vanilla, cinnamon and bourbon in the aroma. Taste has cinnamon, bourbon, vanilla and a little bit of coffee. The body is medium+ with a medium amount of carbonation. 2021: Vanilla is very strong, followed by cinnamon, coffee and light bourbon. Taste has cinnamon, vanilla and bourbon with subtle coffee notes. The body is medium+ with medium-ish carbonation. Both are great and what one lacks, it makes up for it in another way. I think I like the 2020 vintage more just due to the more pronounced bourbon presence. Overall, a 4.5/5 for both. Side note: The 2020 bottle wasn't cellared, so perhaps the cellared bottles I have are even better. Perhaps I'll pull one at some point

Cinnamon, coffee, bourbon caramel and vanilla in the aroma. Taste has cinnamon and caramel right up front, followed by bourbon, vanilla and some coffee. I've never had a stroopwafel, but the aftertaste of this is similar to what you'd get after eating a pastry. The body is medium+ and the carbonation is appropriately low. Another great beer in the Dragon's Milk Reserve series. 4.5/5
