Did not expect the head to be that high or last that long. Very hazy deep yellow color, almost opaque it's so thick. Oh, that aroma is sour. The guava aroma is coming through strong. Maybe some passion fruit in the background. First sip reminds me of biting into a very sour green grape. One of those that makes you shutter. Then the guava takes over with the passion fruit and a big dose of lemon juice. The first taste is difficult, but the tongue quickly acclimates. It becomes pretty flavorful with all these different tropical fruits attacking at once. Nothing subtle about this beer. I'm actually starting to enjoy this a little in a masochistic way.

So, I rated this beer in 2022, then March of 2023, and still nobody else is giving it a rating. Okay, I'm going to do it again.
This beer has a head that actually lasts. Only a tiny amount of light shines through this murky reddish brown liquid. Inviting aroma of dark malt and figs. Powerful flavor, it starts with an immediate bitterness, crisp texture, and a citrus malt while still very roasted. Seems like a mild Black IPA. The first sip always sends the mouth into a shocking bitter IPA when the eyes tell you that it's a brown ale but you quickly overcome it, acclimating your palate so that it becomes very inviting. Citrusy, malty, bitter, deep Amber, roasted. Don't know how they put this together and still made it balanced and delicious. It's a mystery.

A nice brewery in Huntsville, Alabama. The head foamed up quickly, held on a while then died down. Light yellow color, clear. Faint lager aroma. More flavor than I was expecting because of its light color. Soft and smooth. Corn malt and it's on the sweet side. Has just a trace of bitterness in the finish and then most of flavor disappears. The kind of beer that begs for another glass not another sip.
This is a beer drinkers beer. Light and exceedingly drinkable. Not to be enjoyed slowly for a refined experience. This beer falls into the category of most American pilsners in that it's meant to be consumed by volume. Except it has the added bonus of actually being a really good lager.🍺 I can easily drink a six pack of this and still be less alcohol than two of my strong stouts. 😆

Nice lazy Saturday afternoon watching the 2023 NFL draft while having a beer that I have been nervous about. A cherry blackberry sour from a good Alabama Brewery.
Starts with a good head but it quickly disappears totally. Hazy reddish orange deep color. Aroma is definitely sour with hints of fruit, mostly cheery. Modestly thin texture, definitely crisp. Doesn't come across as the type of sour as I have experienced before. Much more tart than sour as both cherry and blackberry are present. The Cherry seemed much more of a candy cherry than the black cherry that I prefer. No flavor change as it passes through the finish.
Sours are not my favorite and this one definitely put me off on the first sip. But the pallet quickly acclimates and the flavors and textures become more agreeable. There's no bitterness at all. It's gets a small demerit for the amount of effervescence that continued to fizzle the entire time. I can drink more of these.

Had this beer 3 years ago, time to try it again.
Spicy aroma, super dark color but not opaque. Flavor delivers a spice, and a toasted bread. Some deep malt with caramel sweetness follows. Finish comes across with a touch of bitterness and somewhat dry.
Not as impressed as I was in 2019. Seemed a little above average but the spices never really gave the winter time flavor that I remembered.

Beer number 10 in my Duo beers I sent a Texas. A Huntsville Alabama Imperial Amber.
I had this beer less than a year ago after having enjoyed a couple of IPAs. I believe it skewed my review somewhat. Although I still get the strong toasted Amber notes with alcohol, I now also have experienced the grapefruit citrus bitterness in the finish. It's very pronounced, especially at first. As you become accustomed to it, it recedes in intensity. This unique combination of Imperial Amber and the citrus flavors of an IPA deserves a better rating than before.

Duo beer with Ryan, a Huntsville Alabama beer I took to him from Yellowhammer Brewing.
Poured from the can like a cola, color and transparency about the same. Light malt in the aroma with small traces of banana clove. Flavor brings out a very roasted malt with pleasantly subdued Belgian banana clove notes. The finish reveals bitterness and a sweetness that had characteristics of licorice.
I think they did a very good job brewing this Belgian style dark ale. If you love Belgian beers, then you will love this. Probably deserves a 4.4 but my palate doesn't run in that direction. To stay true to what I enjoy personally then I must give this a 3.9. It deserves better.

Sitting on my son's back porch with a close football game and an Alabama Imperial Amber ale. Something relaxing about sitting on a porch while it's raining.
Moderate head, tan in color. Almost clear, red with some brown hues. Very light Amber aroma, less than I would expect from an imperial. Alcohol is immediately apparent. Still has the Amber quality but with a lot of flavor that is deeply roasted almost to the point of burnt. Finish has a quickly receding alcohol quality while the roasted Amber continues. The finish is actually the best part of the beer because the alcohol was a little overpowering for an amber.

I've had this beer before but it's been two and a half years. Going to try this one again.
The head is high, thick and frothy with an orange tint. Clear and deep orange color. Very mild amber aroma. Light texture. Minuscule amber malt flavor, has an almost citrus bitterness. Finish continues with a slightly citrus pith bitterness.
I may not have treated this beer incorrectly. I have had it for seven or eight months and that might be too long for this lager. It's okay but not one of my favorite Oktoberfest beers.

Having as part of a flight at Yellowhammer Brewing.
Pours with little head on a small sample glass. Color is clear and a deep reddish amber. No aroma on this small glass. Flavor is dark malt, fruity sweet and alcohol heavy. Finish comes across as dark fruit end ing with a very mild sour. Unexpectedly strong.
