Musta kuin yö, vaahto ruskea ja kevyt. Syvän savuinen ja tervainen tuoksu. Maku pehmeä, vain hiven makea, savuinen, tervainen, viskisen pistävä. Kaikki maut vahvana jälkimakuun asti. Tuhti ja väkevä olut. Ei aivan täysin mun makuun.
