Not sure how I got lucky enough to find this German beer. Only one other rating in English and it was short. And no one else has had it in a can. I'm feeling special. Including my little girl in the background since she just turned 50. A German beer deserves a German glass so I'm using my special Warsteiner. Started with a quick head and then slowly went away. Still watching the small bubbles as the effervescence continues. It has the basic pilsner profile but that's where it ends. Milder than I was expecting, clean crisp texture while retaining a remarkable softness, a honey flavored sweetness, the finish adds a touch of black pepper bitterness in a very unoffensive manner. I got very hot and sweaty doing some home projects today in this Alabama July heatwave (mid 90s is actually typical). My normal dark beers were not appropriate but this is perfect. I needed something refreshing and this is so different from the garbage American pilsners. Even the amount of flavor seems to grow as you enjoy this. I was planning on having this with dinner, but forget that. I'm going to kick back, relax, and enjoy every drop.
