Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #8 Canned on 10-25-2022 Bourbon, chocolate, oak, vanilla and roasted malts in the aroma. Taste has chocolate, bourbon, oak, vanilla and roasted malts. Nice beer with a nice balance. The body is full with a lower amount of carbonation. A nice no frills, yet flavorful and enjoyable, non-adjuncted stout. I really don't give this one enough credit. The first few years I tried it, it seemed really hot and boozy, but they've figured it out and it's a winner time after time now. 4.5/5

Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #2 Canned on 10-19-2023 Bourbon, roasted malts and chocolate in the aroma. Taste has a lot of flavorful bourbon up front, followed by chocolate, oak and roasted malts. The oak has a sort of spiced flavor that's nice (I'm assuming it's from the oak, since there's no adjuncts in this). The body is medium-full with a smooth mouthfeel and low carbonation. I remember a time when this beer was very hot (boozy) fresh and still hot after cellaring. They've found a great balance with this beer, and it's amazing now. Same abv, better drinking experience. 4.5/5
