Fresh and zesty with tanyness in a fresh way

O Brother Brewing | The Sinner | IPA No Shortcuts…. ….versprechen die Brauer aus Wicklow, südlich von Dublin für ihr 6,2%ige IPA. Aus der von Shane O'Malley gestalteten 0,44er Dose fließt dann ein trübes goldenes IPA mit mittellang anhaltendem Schaum, daß nach Mango, Orange, Ananas und Citrus riecht. Der sehr weiche erste Schluck zeigt dann ziemlich dezente tropische Aromen und eine kleine bittere Note, was eher an ein Session erinnert. Die 6,2% sind demnach auch nicht zu spüren. Süße und Körper liegen im etwas gehobenen Bereich. Insgesamt ist dies süffig mit hoher Drinkability, reißt mich aber, warum auch immer, nicht vom Hocker. 

Auf der Karte steht es unter Craft Draught und mit "hint of Coffee". Ich habe deutlich mehr Kaffee als nur einen "hint"! Es ist ganz klar ein Craft Beer, aber trotz der deutlichen Aromen bleibt es angenehm trinkbar. Ich bin positiv überrascht, da mich die zum Teil kräftigen Aromen nicht stören.

Very nice eye artwork on the can, the artist even receives credit on the label. This beer had a very moderate pour, unsuspecting even. Left an amber body with an orange hue lurking in a murkey haze with only trace amounts of foam. Aromas of stone fruit, mandarin, peach, all crushed. Juicy mango follows, holding the centre pole with a moderate pine resin. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, leaning into heavy. Very robust and very juicy, with only mild carbonation and a very silky finish. Tastes of peach and mango ride a wave of pine, before the dank, juicy overripe fruit hits like a hay maker. As everything settles, sweet mango reprise and passes the torch to the stone fruit which rides out a very dry aftertaste. A very flavourful ipa, I'd happily buy it again.
