Always a good looking and appealing branding with these Iron Maiden x Robinsons collabs. Poured well and left a golden yellow body with an amber hue, not unlike a blonde or golden ale. There was a bubbly white head, about one fingers worth, at the start, and although this had poor retention, the carbonation that created it coarsed through and lasted very well. Aromas of classic pale ale, bitter and sweet malts, bread, sweet toffee and salted cracker with a hoppy, tropical fruit kick that doesn't get carried away. The feeling in the mouth is crisp carbonation at first, medium bodied all round though a syrupy stream can be detected throughout afterwards and it is definitely a sign of things to come. As time passes the carbonation dissipates and the syrupy feeling starts to dominate more and more. It's not in a bad way, it's quite an organic change. Thr taste, definitely a old school ipa here, so old school, it could easily be mistaken for a pale ale. Mildly tropical at first, light mango and pineapple, mixed with the lighter malts of sweet bread and caramel. The dry, salty cracker edges it's way in and the sweetness gets pushed aside altogether as the bitter notes rise to the fore. A little hint of the fruit profile reprises at the end but still finishes out with a dry bitter finish. Not bad at all.

That T'was bloody great! Malty, slight taste of raisins and plenty of toffee and chocolate notes.
