Terrible in the nose, even worse in the mouth. I’m offended that it says “extra American”… Very flat as well, but that has been a trend with beers I’ve bought from Happy More.

Got home from the Back Forty Brewery fireworks just in time to watch the New Year's celebration on TV. Haven't had this Stout in over 3 years so it's time to try it again. Super high and frothy head. Sweet malt aroma. Flavor gives me a roasted deep coffee with only some background bitter chocolate hiding behind. As it enters the finish the sweetness gives way to a surprising hop bitterness. Good way to bring in the New Year.
