Flight 3/4 (2) is darker, standard amber and translucent. A creamy billowy head. Goes with the style. Truly vague and odd nuances in the scent: tea, wet hay, wort. A marginally worty taste, too. Pine needle, graham cracker, tea and dried grated lemon peel accompany. Light bodied. Finishes easier. And fast. Moderately crisp, tangy, dry, drying but also modestly lip-glueing. Not a winner this one either. Not even in its own demanding genre. Another strange name. Hehe.

Two more 1 dl portions. Beer 1/2 is semiclear to clear, deep gold. Builds a clean white, velvety head up to one finger's measure. Grapefruit and remote banana in the air. Sweet-leaning, as well. A smaller amendment of mandarin juice should be added to the list. The sweet fruity impression carries onto the tastebuds, as well. I'm picking banana, canned mandarin, apricot, biscuit and wheat malt. The billboard says "Poivre Sichuan", that is Sichuan pepper. I surely miss it in the palate. Not a faintest trace. The light-bodied beer ends with apricot, mandarin and fermented banana. The mouthfeel is light, smooth, mouthcoating and slightly drying. Pity, I missed the Sichuan pepper in the taste.

Flight 3/4 is a risk. A Mexican Lager. Can be ok or bs. A still darker color, limpid amber. The whipped-creamy head reaches one finger and wafts as a billowy lace ring much longer. The nose gets an interesting medley of pale malt, squeezed lime, orange zest and rice krispies. Okay... The gustatory segment, however, doesn't offer rice krispies but rather fruity nuances like orange, lime, tangerine and grapefruit, all fermented, not fresh. A restrained malty injection in the background. The body is light. The finish is dry and fruity with the same fermented flavors as before. The drying feeling keeps my gums alerted for a long time. Otherwise, the mouthfeel is light, crisp, ripe, zesty, dry and slightly astringent. Better than I anticipated.

Flight 3/4 (2). Clear gold beer, looks like a Lager. Well, why not! The head etc. (read above). Pale malt with a distantly yeasty twist is what I observe in the air. Nothing else. Generally speaking, very impotent. The taste profile proves to be easy and unchallenging. Somewhat crisp dry hops merge with loads of marginally smoked pale malt, lemon zest, a pinch of nectarine and a sigh of resin. Not exactly what I anticipate of a Blonde Ale but this is a smoked version anyway. The body is light. What else? Nothing evolves toward the end. Is it good or bad? Don't know. Dries my gums for a good while. The mouthfeel is light, dry and drying. Somewhat juicy and a bit mouthcoating, as well. Not bad despite the obvious style disobedience but who cares.
