Flight 3/4 is a risk. A Mexican Lager. Can be ok or bs. A still darker color, limpid amber. The whipped-creamy head reaches one finger and wafts as a billowy lace ring much longer.
The nose gets an interesting medley of pale malt, squeezed lime, orange zest and rice krispies. Okay... The gustatory segment, however, doesn't offer rice krispies but rather fruity nuances like orange, lime, tangerine and grapefruit, all fermented, not fresh. A restrained malty injection in the background.
The body is light. The finish is dry and fruity with the same fermented flavors as before. The drying feeling keeps my gums alerted for a long time. Otherwise, the mouthfeel is light, crisp, ripe, zesty, dry and slightly astringent. Better than I anticipated.
