Some of Britain’s traditional brewers have struggled to come to terms with the brave new world of craft beer, but not Fuller’s.
Without discarding their enviable heritage (or legendary marmalade-tinged yeast), they’ve remained up to date, producing interesting beers like the Vintage range, launched in 1997, which is made once a year with “the best malt and hops available at the time” (it says here).
Their regular ales are also high-quality (although there are plenty of bad pints of London Pride out there, largely due to sloppy cellarmanship) with ESB, a beer which has inspired a whole style on the other side of the Atlantic, a true classic.

Tuoksussa kuivaa maltaisuutta. Maussa tuhdisti mallasta, siirappisuutta/karamellisuutta ja mukavasti kuivahkoa katkeroa. Klassinen bitteri.

Strong rich taste. Beautiful dark color. Low sweetness despite the added invert sugar and oats.
The added rose petals are easily detected on the aftertaste.
This beer is strong and its powerful hops means it could benefit from being left to mature a year or two.

Hyvä huonon Rockpaperskissorssin jäläkehen.
Paahteinen kuiva stoutti happamalla olemuksella.
Kevyt runko, mutta on ihan hyvä.
