ESB has a wonderful rich mahogany appearance. Taking in the nose, the beer is bursting with cherry and orange, balanced by soft malty toffee and caramel notes. The flavour delivers everything you would expect from such a full-bodied ale. The unique blend of Northdown, Target, Challenger and Goldings hops imparts grassy, peppery notes on the tongue along with intense citrus fruit characters of grapefruits, oranges and lemons. The blend of Pale Ale and Crystal malts in the brew give a biscuity, toffee element to the beer. A smooth, mellow bitterness lingers on the palate to give a superbly satisfying finish. Cask: 5.5% ABV Bottles, Kegs: 5.9% ABV

Genuinely one of the best breweries in my opinion and this classic ruby ale is an old favourite of mine. Havnt had it on draft for too long so once again will settle from a bottle. 5.9% plenty of flavour.

Tuoksu runsahkon, maukkaan, makeahkon ja kevyen karamellisen maltainen, viljainen ja keksinen, ohuen pähkinäinen sekä melko raikkaan ja makeahkon hedelmäinen (ananasta, aprikoosia, appelsiinia). Maku maukkaan, makean ja karamellisen maltainen, kuivakan viljainen ja keksinen, makeahkon ja melko tuoreen mutta kuitenkin kuivatun hedelmäinen (ananasta, appelsiinia, aprikoosia, omenaa), kepeän marmeladinen ja siirappinen, pähkinäinen sekä selkeän humalaisen katkera. Hyvät ja tasapainoiset maut. Suutuntuma on keskitäyteläinen, kuivakka ja hiilihappoinen. Maukas, runsahko, miellyttävän monivivahteinen ja oikein mukavasti juotava ESB. Laadukasta klassikkokamaa!
