Musta korkki. Mustassa etiketissä kuparisin kirjaimin tyylilaji ja takana 2023. Beige vaahto, musta juoma.
Kuivahko ja palanut alku. Selkeän salmiakkinen jatko - ja eipä siitä onneksi loppua tule.

Musta korkki, musta etiketti kultaisin ja vihrein kirjaimin esitetty tyylilaji ja panimo. Vaahdoton, kirkas kullankeltainen juoma.
Tyylilaji on tunnistettavissa, mutta juoma olemus herättää epäilyjä. Täten makuaistimus jää vajaaksi.
2,84€.

Advent Calendar Beer #️⃣7️⃣.
The appearance is muddy, deep dark brown to black, depending on the light. A subdued chocolate tan head forms on the surface and shrinks soon to the sides. A modest lace ring still wafts on the top for a good while.
The scent offers smoke, whisky, barrel notes, dark chocolate, a little amendment of licorice, a wink of peat and faint raw vanilla bean. An attractive set of aromas with fairly generous smoky whisky but still balanced in my opinion.
Smoky whisky is truly abundant on the tastebuds. Soaked barrel doesn't let me go easily. Then, I receive layered flavors in varying magnitudes: roasted malt, raw chocolate, licorice root, tar, oven baked apple, remote bitter syrup and a touch of vanilla. The palate is really intensive and improves in concert with the temperature.
The body is full. Reasonably full if not massive. The finish is powerfully smoky and roasted, pushing up bags of whisky, barrel, licorice and tar. Quite demanding.
The mouthfeel is full, strong, deep, a tad layered, amply barrel aged, dry and drying. Alcohol is on the verge of being arrogant but manages to remain only bold. Definitely not the easiest gateway BA IS.
Now there will be a short break in my advent calendar beers. The next one will be #13. I will enjoy and review #8–12 later in the year.

Advent Calendar Beer #️⃣1️⃣. Yes! It is the time of the year!
Bright, jet black beer whose carbonation is relatively oppressed builds a dense cappuccino-colored head that falls short of one finger. The foamy cap shrinks rushedly to a mediocre lace ring on the top. The glass is otherwise left intact.
Marginally sweet-leaning coffee as if lactose seasoned merges with cream and licorice in the scent. Additionally, I pick a suggestion of brandy in the air even though the beer isn't barrel aged in my understanding.
Coffee wins the race to the tongue. First, it's sweet and sugared but quickly turns modestly bitter. Licorice root joins the coffee moment. I can still find remote brandy for some reason. But no barrel notes though. The malty baseline supports the cocktail.
The body is medium-full to full. Barely the minimum. Anything less would disturb the enjoyment. The coffee is geared more bitter and distinctly roasted in the end. A dry hoppy injection is a latecomer to the concoction.
The mouthfeel is mellow, medium-strong, lip-glueing, mouthcoating as well as marginally roasty. Leaves a dry feeling behind.
Not bad albeit not a masterpiece either. This strength should give deeper and richer nuances, so this is a rather basic piece as such.

Näftinsormenleveyden verran mokkakahvinväristä vaahtoa erittäin tummanruskean hiukkasen valoaläpipäästävän oluen yllä joka tuoksuu kepeän tammisen viskisen makean maltaiselle ja maistuu lempeän kuivahkon viskisen tammisen lämmittävän maltaiselle, kolme ja kolmevarttia ylöspäin. PE: ei ole. Pullotettu: sep 2024.

I haven't had a Quadrupel in a while. This one has been aged in Cognac barrels.
Muddy, deep dark brown beer with a modest plum hue and reasonable carbonation builds a velvety, cream-yellow head that grows one finger tall. The lace ring decorates the top for astonishingly long.
My nose enjoys ample nuances of dried plum, raisin, date and syrup. Well, syrup is limited in this crew. Cognac barrel is recognizable, offering also purple grape, but the Cognac itself is surprisingly tame.
Very promising scent, hopefully the flavor concoction delivers lots of tasty components to enjoy. Let's see. Hmmm... first of all, Cognac steps forward bravely and gives a slightly alcoholic idea to my tastebuds. Oakwood is powerful. Secondly, the classical Barley Wine flavors that can be observed here include dried plum, raisin, bitter caramel and a hint of raw cacao powder. Decent but not a masterpiece. Somewhat raw, could obviously benefit from cellaring.
The body is medium at maximum. The ABV clocks 11 %, the body is suboptimal to the strength. The finish is even more alcoholic than the actual taste experience. Cognac, with its barrel notes, dominates the whole tail.
The mouthfeel is medium, alcoholic, barrel aged, strong, a bit harsh and nicely warming. The elements are there but deeper flavors would improve the cocktail substantially.
P.S. My Rocoto Montufari and Rocoto Red Peruvian chilis are ready. 🌶️🌶️
