Not a very hoppy beer for an IPA. Leaves a slight citrus flavour on the tongue. Not a great head due to light carbonation gives quite a thin mouthfeel. Not really my type of beer but might work if you are looking for a session IPA if you are not worried about the relatively high ABV.

With my son-in-law in Houston at our third brewery of the day. Fourth beer on this flight.
Dark brown opaque color. Strong aroma of malt and bourbon. Wow! Just when I thought this brewery was going to get an overall poor rating, they hit me with this. Strong, boozy bourbon barrel flavor starts this beer. Quickly followed by intense bittersweet milk chocolate flavor and then the finish produces a 2-day-old roasted coffee. The brewery definitely redeemed themselves with this recipe. Excellent.

At our third Houston brewery of the day with my son-in-law. Third beer on this flight at Eureka Heights Brew Company.
Starts with a good aroma, crystal clear medium yellow color. Light texture. Smooth and gently creamy. Flavor is excellent but weak. Like they took a really good beer and watered it down. Would have gotten a much higher rating if it had only more punch to it.

Our third Houston brewery of the day, Eureka Heights. Second beer on a flight.
Very pale yellow, clear color. Thin texture. Has the acidity citrus flavor at the beginning but undistinguished till late when a faint orange background sets in. Finish continues with a soft orange flavor. Just okay, nothing that makes you want to go back for more.

At Eureka Heights Brew Company with my son-in-law in Houston. Our third brewery of the day, first on a flight of four.
Served in a plastic cup, light yellow, crystal clear. Very mild flavor with just a little tartness on the finish. Not as creamy as I was hoping for. Seems just a little artificial to me. Not one of my favorites.

Enjoying a beautiful fall afternoon with William Tell, well almost.
Pours to a very, very dark brown, opaque once it's in the glass. Foamy dark chocolate head, but it's starting to dissipate. Can smell chocolate and spice. First taste is sweet, strong dark chocolate and the cayenne 🌶️ quickly mixes in perfectly. After that initial blast of flavor, the cinnamon makes itself known. Bittersweet chocolate, cinnamon and a pepper sting dominates the dry finish. That pepper sting sits in the back of my throat and seems to keep on going, and going, and going. Not painful, just doesn't want to be forgotten.
Exactly what I would expect from a southern Texas brew. Excellent pepper stout.
