Good grief, this is exceptional. It honestly doesn’t taste like beer, it’s more akin to a slightly sour dry cider… but then the hint of beer is in the background reminding you of the pedigree of this ale. It hits with blackberry and blackcurrant, both seem tempered with the addition of blueberry. It’s a pure summertime beer that would be best enjoyed after a barbecue, relaxing in the sun. The brewery need to make this a mainstay. It has an edge of a Dutch fruity beer that rhymes with Mike.

Firstly, this beer hits different to other IPA, it does remind me of the beer brewed by the “brew-hound”, but it has a quality to it that just outclasses the competition. Citrus is first and foremost in this beer, the fruitiness is exceptional and really hits the refreshment spot. I would love to see this in a multipack or larger cans. This would be a lovely ale to drink at a barbecue.

This is definitely a very good weizen, it certainly has the typical hit of hefeweizen but seems to be better attuned to the climate of the northeast than some of the ones from Germany. While I adore many hefeweizen, I find they don’t travel too well and lose a little something when drank here. The beer has a typical hoppy smell and hit on the first taste and then a bready malty finish. The colouring is orange brown when in the glass and the haze of the yeast is visible. Considering this was brewed in rural Northumbria, it could be easily mistaken for a beer brewed in rural Bavaria. I’m definitely a fan of this and would be interested to see the brewery make a more regular hefeweizen.

Packed full of Red Grape and Cherry, this decadent fruit beer also delivers flavours of damson and blackberry. All rounded out with a hint of oak and spice. The beer has an almost home brew red wine hit mixed with a lovely ale. It’s almost like a red federweisse got mixed with a nice light ale. This is surprisingly refreshing despite the heavy notes and the 7% abv is deceiving as it doesn’t taste as strong as it is.

It starts wonderfully well. Great aroma and first front taste is fruity but then gets very alcoholic and strong. Probably a good idea otherwise I may want to session it ;-)

I think it is called nectaronicon but hey ho. It’s still a great tasting NEIPA. Lovely. Perhaps needs a bit more oomph in the fruit and the finish.

Fruity and zesty with a distinctive sweetness in the back of the throat. Very reminiscent of its regular version. A wonderfully brewed ale and a shame it is so limited. I’m pleased to have had the opportunity to taste it.

Mines gin clear and not hazy at all. Fine but does taste like a lager rather than a pale ale.
