Tummana reilulla vaahdolla lasiin, lupaa hyvää Maku kääntyy sourin suuntaan… voivoi, imp baltic porter kuitenkin kyseessä

Advent Calendar Beer #️⃣1️⃣9️⃣. Muddy black is the color of the beer. The carbonation is restrained but we can still observe a porous tawny head that grows two fingers tall. The frothy cap melts soon to a billowy lace ring and fragile haze on the top. The scent is surprisingly sour: blackberry, blackcurrant, sour winter apple, a bit of raw plum, licorice and roasted malt. Nevertheless, an even more prominent nuance in the air, before all the rest of the package, is red wine barrel. It's rather dominant, even overwhelming. The tongue gets somewhat sour flavors that don't really match my impression of an Imperial Baltic Porter. I'm picking powerful red wine, blackberry, blackcurrant, soaked oak barrel notes, sour plum, a hint of licorice and a whisper of roasted malt. Winter apple raises its head determinedly also on the tastebuds. Balanced is not what I would call this. Interesting, for sure, but not in a positive way. The body is medium-full to full. Works for the ABV but doesn't impress me much. The end is full of red wine and barrel flavors. The mouthfeel is medium-full, tart, vinous , barrel aged, lip-glueing. Not really a winner as an Imperial Baltic Porter.

Vaaleansinisessä tölkissä violetti kala vähän imeissään aallokossa. Beige poreileva vaahto, musta juoma. Sherrymäinen alku, kaffeta hennosti tausta. Tervapastillimainen loppu. 5,64€
