Number four of four Another good pour with a head that didn't last. Wow there is an explosion of bourbon as soon as I opened the can. Scent carries some maple syrup and cinnamon, but the bourbon is very over powering. With the flavour combinations, it is reminiscent of a jack Daniels with coke. Mouthfeel is syrupy at first, like treacle. It goes down smooth with mild carbonation, but like a hot chili pepper, a huge wave of heat rolls over everything afterwards. Taste is intense on all fronts, sweetness, bourbon, heat. Brown sugar with a little vanilla at first, then the thick wall of syrupy cinnamon sweetness hits. The bourbon rides in and crushes everything else afterwards. There is a nice aftertaste, that carries a little bit of everything. This is a strange one but I really liked it.

Number three of four. Can pour started well with a nice mocha coloured foam but it dissipated too quickly and left the headless black body you see in the picture. Aroma is light espresso, brown sugar, maple syrup, candied nuts and cinnamon. Mouthfeel is a little light, but not thin. Carbonation is very mild and there is a subtle warmth Taste is malty dark chocolate at first, blends well with the espresso, then the maple syrup rides in with the cinnamon/brown sugar combo. I wasn't sure this would be good after the peanut butter cup version but I am pleasantly surprised.

Was hoping this would be an improvement over it's little brother last night but unfortunately it's much the same. The pour from the can was underwhelming, jet black body with little carbonation or foam. Unlike the regular one, there was a tiny bit of mocha coloured foamy head but it dissipated so quickly I couldn't get it into the picture. Aroma is much the same, some brown sugar, tiny trace of vanilla, the same chemical peanut butter scent but this one carries the boozy bourbon profile to cut through that. Mouthfeel is the again thin but not watery. Lacking in carbonation but smooth and verging on flat. The warmth from the BBA brings a little warmth and character to the fold. Taste is the same artificial peanut butter taste, some brown sugar and vanilla but thankfully the high abv gives something to cut through both the sweetness and the chemical taste. A small improvement but an improvement nonetheless.

Pour from the can was a little lackluster and left a black body with no head, resembling flat coke. Scent is quite synthetic, although the can says it is ariticfially flavoured. There is some brown sugar, synthetic peanut butter and a little vanilla. Mouthfeel is surprisingly light for an 8.3% oatmeal stout, but it's not watery. Taste is a little unpleasant, the brown sugar, vanilla and synthetic peanut butter are all present. The synthetic chemical taste is tough to shake and leaves a funky aftertaste. The first of a four can set, it's not looking good.
