Vuoden 2022 joulukalenterin viimeinen maistamaton olut.
Aika tuju liemi. Kivasti lämmittää rinteessä. Paahteinen, kuiva ja hieman alkoholinen.

Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #14
Bottled in 2020 (I can't make out the month and day)
Maple syrup, rye whiskey, coffee and smoky bacon with notes of chocolate and oak in the aroma. Taste has tons of maple syrup to start, followed by coffee, rye whiskey, and finishing with smoky bacon and oak primarily in the late finish and aftertaste. This is holding up very well so far.
The body is full with an appropriately low amount of carbonation.
I thought I enjoyed the Hipster Brunch Stout I had the other day. This is next level compared to that. I'll have to give this a high 4.75/5

Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #12
Bottled on 4-22-2019
Coffee, smoky bacon, maple syrup, rye spiciness and light whiskey in the aroma. Taste has maple syrup, coffee, whiskey, rye, and smoky bacon which lingers in the aftertaste.
The body is medium-full with a smooth mouthfeel and low carbonation.
I'm digging this one. I don't remember the mouthfeel being so smooth and the blend of the maple syrup and coffee is really tasty at this point. High 4.5/5

Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #3
This was also #3 in 2021. This is a boozy one at 17.76% abv. It was quite hot fresh, hopefully it's mellowed some.
Sweet boozy aroma and surprisingly there's still some coconut in there. I was sure it would have faded by now. Taste has a lot of booze. Beyond that, I'm getting dark fruits, roasted malts and a faint bit of coconut in the aftertaste.
The body is medium-full with lower carbonation.
This one definitely didn't mellow. It's big and boozy, but what can you really expect from an almost 18% beer.

Vahvempaa imppiä lasissa, viettänyt 12kk bourbon-tynnyreissä.
Mustaa olutta, mikä ei juurikaan vaahdonnut.
Tuoksussa tummaa suklaata, kahvia ja bourbonia. Maussa sama paletti, kuivaa ja täyteläistä, hieman vaniljaista makeutta taustalla.
Vahva imppi, jossa alkoholi lämmittää hyvin taustalla, siinä rajoilla että meneekö yli vai ei.

Past posting from February 5th 2022 at The Tap House in Chattanooga with Ben. Third beer on a flight of five.
Opaque brown color, head has very thin small bubbles but continuing. Sweet coconut aroma with some liqueur alcohol. Very heavy and creamy texture. First flavor is an abundance of coconut and chocolate. Closely followed by a strong heavy liqueur alcohol, traces of licorice. Finish continues and is dominated by a heavy strong dark chocolate.

No todennäköisesti tuo kitkeryys on peräisin humalasta.
Loppua kohti mennessä vaahterasiirappi alkaa erottua enemmän.
Ei huono, mutta ei nouse suosikkieni joukkoon.
