This should be interesting. This one has had some infection issues. 2013 through 2017 vertical tasting. 2013: Sweet aroma, bordering on sour along with some bourbon. Taste has mellow bourbon and a good deal of oak coming in late mid-palate and lingering into the finish. First one down, so far so good. 3.5/5 2014: Light bourbon in the aroma. Taste has bourbon and not a whole lot else. It is a tasty beer though. 3.5/5 2015: Bourbon in the aroma. Taste has some sourness, but is still drinkable. Some slight evidence of bourbon as well. I don't think I'd accept a free glass of this. 2/5 2016: Aroma has a noticeable sourness. Taste has a light amount of bourbon and no sourness. Some oak comes through in the mid-palate. Good year for this one. 3.5/5 2017: Has the same sour aroma as the last couple. Taste has a noticeable sourness, but it's not undrinkable. Actually, it's better than the 2015 bottle earlier. Il give it a 3/5 Weighed average of 3.1/5

A beer I'd written off. Three bottles and all three infected. First time having it on draft. This is how it should taste. Bourbon and oak are delicious. 4/5

I'm getting pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices in the aroma. Taste has much of the same. The pumpkin is there, the spices are a bit stronger than I think they should be, but don't overwhelm the beer. I think if the allspice was dialed back a bit and the cinnamon was more prominent (which as it is now is virtually nonexistent), this would be one of the best pumpkin beers available. I'm left wanting more. Still tasty. 3.75/5

I've had this beer twice before and both times it was infected. This one sat in the cellar for quite a while and was purchased from a different store. Time to find out if this is a 'third time is a charm' type of beer or if it's a strikeout. Aroma has sour cherries. Not looking good. Taste has the same. I'm done. I won't drink this. Mark this day, September 29th, 2018, as the day I drainpoured my first beer. $9 down the drain. Good riddance. 0.1/5
