Hyvä tummuus..hento vaahto, makea puraisu, suklaa vaniljainen, prossat viivähtää kirkkaana läpi jossain vaiheessa,runko ohut tähän, jännä porter...ehkä liikaa maku twistiä laitettu...ja makeus ei ihan omaan makuhermoon iskevä, maisteltava porter silti...

Saatu ilmaiseksi. Pullossa lukee "Vintage 2019",eli kuusi vuotta vanhaa. Mielestäni tässä on jo hapanta marjaisuutta, eli ei voi olla enää kunnossa. On sitä turpeisuutta toki myös varsinkin jälkimaussa.

In Birmingham at Hop City purchasing a cart full of beer and having one to go. Ralph recommended this brew. A powerful Imperial Stout so only getting a small taste. It's German chocolate cake, my favorite. Not much head in this small snifter glass. Aroma is strong bourbon with just a touch of chocolate. A solid, heavy texture that's close to being syrup but still has a crisp bite to it. Flavor is strong and powerful, chocolate but the German chocolate kind. Excellent match. Toward the middle faint hints of coconut appears. Finish adds a toasted toffee. Never got the graham cracker that I say is there. But as you continue to sip this beer all the flavors become more powerful and pronounced. The bourbon flavor covers all of it from first to last. Absolutely excellent overall beer.
