Past post from last Saturday. In Arkansas, for a wedding. Of course, Ryan and I are going to some breweries. First is Bentonville Brewing Company. Sharing 2 flights of 4 each. We have to pace ourselves. This is the last taster on this flight of eight. Aroma gives a malt that has chocolate embedded in it. Texture, this thing is velvetly smooth and ridiculously soft. Flavor gives me a milk chocolate, mildly roasted malt, and a cocoa dry finish. Alcohol is not detectable. This is a pretty good dessert style.

Past post from last Saturday. In Arkansas, for a wedding. Of course, Ryan and I are going to some breweries. First is Bentonville Brewing Company. Sharing 2 flights of 4 each. We have to pace ourselves. 7th beer on a flight of eight. The aroma on this is strong sweet coffee. Flavor reveals mocha chocolate combined with a smoothness of the coffee easily makes this my favorite tonight. Combined with a gentle bittersweet flavor and only a touch of cocoa dryness.

We have to pace ourselves. Beer number 6 on this flight of eight. Heavily roasted malt bringing dry coffee. I find just a hint of bittersweetness and then it's gone. No change as it slides into the finish giving you the same consistency throughout. For this category of beer, Irish dry style, I think they did a pretty good job.

Past post from last Saturday. In Arkansas, for a wedding. Of course, Ryan and I are going to some breweries. First is Bentonville Brewing Company. Sharing 2 flights of 4 each. We have to pace ourselves. This is our fifth beer on a flight of eight. Heavy malt, an Autumn roastiness to it. They like to be dry here because again this one is. A distinctive hop bitterness while still lacking any citrus qualities at all. It's OK but not what I would call drinkable. A little disappointed since this is one of my favorite styles. This would be a one and done.

Past post from last Saturday. In Arkansas, for a wedding. Of course, Ryan and I are going to some breweries. First is Bentonville Brewing Company. Sharing 2 flights of 4 each. We have to pace ourselves. Fourth beer on this flight of eight. Could not get any light to penetrate this, even in a taster glass. Flavor is extremely roasted, like yesterday's coffee. Intense. Again this beer is very dry. As it goes into the finish it mellows out a bit so that you look forward to the next ship. Pretty good coffee Porter if you like intensity.

Past post from last Saturday. In Arkansas, for a wedding. Of course, Ryan and I are going to some breweries. First is Bentonville Brewing Company. Sharing 2 flights of 4 each. We have to pace ourselves. This is the third beer on a flight of eight. Reddish orange, clear color. Märzen aroma. Starts good then quickly turns the roasted flavor dry and tart. Finish even goes to the sour side. I'm disappointed in this one.

Past post from last Saturday. In Arkansas, for a wedding. Of course, Ryan and I are going to some breweries. First is Bentonville Brewing Company. Sharing 2 flights of 4 each. We have to pace ourselves. This is our second taster of the night. Dark brown translucent color, a small amount of light will shine through this clear beer. Aroma gives me a strong sweet roasted malt. Anticipation is high. Definitely mild, almost seemed watered down. Can taste the coffee and hints of chocolate are both there. Dry and the finish gives just a dash of bitterness. If you're planning on drinking a beer in the afternoon and you have things to do this 3.5% would probably hit the spot. A good winter time beer versus an everyday IPA.

Past post from last Saturday. In Arkansas for a wedding. Of course, Ryan and I are going to some breweries. First is Bentonville Brewing Company. Sharing 2 flights of 4 each. We have to pace ourselves. Obviously, it's the first taster on the left. Exceedingly light yellow color. Has a corn flavor, almost no sweetness, soft and smooth. Finish relays a saltiness that wasn't there before. The whole experience is dry from first to last.
