Post night shift Wanted something less heavy, less evil if you will Medium bodied with a beautiful white chocolate base followed by a little tartness from ya boy cherry Never had a bad mash gang beer but this is hands down the best AF I have ever had.

It's noticeably tangy on the nose, like very rich gateaux with chocolate and cherry standing out. It even seems to have a matching ruby edge to it's opaque black complexion. Woah. In the gob it is odd! Not thick and smooth like a stout should be, it's thin and sharp and a shock. Cherry sour meets vanilla syrup. The vanilla is a welcomed smooth element that I find myself reaching for, desperately trying to ignore the cherry and chocolate cake. You get used to it a bit more over time, the initial shock gone. And it is more like "normal" pastry/flavoured stouts. It's rich and tangy and feels like a dessert even though it's very thin in the mouth. It's not horrid, but I'm not keen either and I wouldn't not recommend this to anyone other than the strangest of extreme dodgy stout lovers. If you love a blueberry, maple, pancake with neapolitan ice cream breakfast pastry stout, and such, then this could be for you.

Melko kiva, sopivan kuiva maku. Hieman jotenkin rusinainen.

Kinda impressive for a NoLo ! The flavors are there. It surely have a watery feeling and lack of mouthfeel but not the worst I tasted so far for a low abv. It is for sure the least acidic taste I’ve feel for this style ! An accomplished hazy pale with 0,5% in bonus ;)

Low/no alcohol brew with weed, hmm. Well it's not a hazy New England IPA after all but has the hops for it. It's a very clear, very pale golden amber beer with no head retention. On the nose it's quite nice, light and bright pineapple, satsuma, apple and pear maybe too. Doesn't smell like the whacky backy like some lagers do. First sip, hmm very odd straight away. At first it's like a west coast but very mild then the finish comes smashing in like a freight train, and it's not good. If you ever wanted to drink pine floor cleaner, here's your chance. The fruit starts to come in, if you dare to keep sipping it, but each time the mega finish and after taste takes over. They described the weed addition as terpenes, zero CBD and obviously zero THC. So a compound hydrocarbon produced by the plant, and this beer does give you plant oil vibes. The taste does mellow after a while and turns more into the west coast style it could be. Extremely piney. I'm not a huge westy fan anyway but this is right on the line between unpleasant and acceptable. Fans of pine and west coast IPAs may get on with this, but I do not.

Clear amber complexion and the nose is very sweet with hibiscus and strawberry. The initial sip is very watery and plain, mildly sparkling and the favour is subtle. The hibiscus helps it a lot as the strawberry is weak here. Overall it tastes okay, any stronger and it'd likely be less enjoyable. There is an ice-cream /milkshake element in the finish as it accumulates over time. It's not bad, thankfully quite inoffensive and the light flavour is quite nice, with cream, hibiscus and strawberry. The aroma is sweeter and more potent than the taste.

Still on my year long no alcohol stint, my friend treated me to some craft brews for Xmas. This beer has a hazy golden honey amber hue, initial head fizzes away to remnants. On the nose it is light with citrus and tropical notes utilising some decent NZ hops. The first sip starts off disappointing but the aftertaste is where all the flavour comes in. At first it's fizzy water, but gradually nelson sauvin and nectaron hops shine through. But the impact lessens as you drink it. It's good and compares with normal pale ales for sure. Of course there is that oddness that accompanies alcohol free beer but it is undeniably hoppy and not half-arsed. It's no citra cryo on the cheap and call it a day, and that is to be expected from Mash Gang whom I trust to try to create proper brews with little to no alcohol. It doesn't hold a candle to a 4.2% deya pale ale, naturally, but it's a damn sight better than non-alcoholic craft brews pubs might offer, which are half-arsed attempts. Overall this is a pleasant drink and I'd safely call it a craft beer. It clearly uses decent hops with good measures, was brewed with care and intention. Nelson sauvin and nectaron are good choices, and whilst they don't hit you with tang of intensity they provide tangible taste for this 0.5% pale ale.

Watery without much taste. Very strange globules of something in the bottom!
