One perv to close the evening. No, not me. The beer. Again, something that imitates a Ukrainian dish. Or at least Ukrainian flavors.
I expected a beer that would look like a Tomato Gose. Red. I didn't get one. This beer is not red, not even close. It's semihazy, deep yellow. Very obscure carbonation, almost no head at all. Anyway, the surface is soon flat still.
The scent is... interesting! Pickle, vinegar, salt and garlic in the air. Whaaat?? Not a typical beer punch.
The taste puts forward powerful jalapeño. Fairly strong spicy capsaicin. Garlic, vinegar, pickle, cucumber and a generous pinch of salt land further on the tastebuds. An interesting medley! Not surprising though, I'm getting used to these weirdos.
The body clocks light-medium. The tail slams with ample capsaicin and especially jalapeño. A beautiful burning sensation lingers on the tongue and in the mouth. If you have any slightest wound on your gums, you will immediately locate it. The pain will reveal it.
The sensation is light-medium, spicy, spiced, vegetal but also juicy and even refreshing. Very tasty! 💛💛

I wanted to dive in the deep end and try an anchovy beer 🐟 But in vain, there was no anchovy beer in the fridge. In June, there was. Somebody has obviously bought it.
Alright, a couple of Tomato Goses shall bridge that gap. One tonight, the other one at some point later.
Pours superthick, watermelon-flesh-colored with tiny black spots. Looks like porridge. No real head but huge bubbles decorate the top. The surface never gets flat.
Loads of smashed tomato, bell pepper, garlic, salt, vinegar and blackpepper constitute the olfactory experience. Savory indeed! A pinch of chili joins the show more or less immediately thereafter. Gives a powerful impression of a Ukrainian tomato stew.
The saltiness is obvious and even bigger than before. Tomato, bell pepper, garlic and onion dance on the tongue together with sparkling lemon zest and even a touch of orange pulp. Blackpepper and medium-strong chili capsaicin seal the deal this time.
The body is full. Maybe confused by the other elements of the taste profile. The finish is both salty and marginally sweet at the same time. The basic soup/stew-like impression is intensive.
The sensation is full, thick, soup-like, vegetal, spiced and spicy. Piquant and savory. Attractive piece.
