If the previous place was a bit of a risk, La Jonquille is always a sure bet. Nowadays my #1 place in the city.
Let me go for a pale, almost Lager flight. Flight 1/4 colors lucid gold. A dense moussy head decorates the top up to one finger. The retention is fairly long.
A handicapped fragrance, just a hint of malt and a hoppy hint. Overall, very oppressed. The taste is relatively limited: I can spot pale grainy malt, lemon peel and modest grassy hops. Can be classified as an IPL but otherwise nothing to write home about.
The body is thin to light. Ends otherwise similarly to upfront but I'm imagining distant diacetyl here. Maybe it's just an illusion. Or a wish.
The mouthfeel is thin, light-crisp, balanced, quaffable, very easy, characterless as such, somewhat dry and drying, too.

Bon, avec un fort arrière goût d'amertume
