Riecht gut nach Mälze, Schaum Okay, schmeckt süffig, mild

Eigentlich bin ich Fan von Leichtbier. Aber die Leichtigkeit ist zu weit weg von einem Vollbier und zu nah an einem Alkoholfrei. Trotz 3,2%. Dann doch lieber direkt Alkoholfrei

A great looking bottle, very authentic German style with a very satisfying 'pop' when opened. Pours a nice rich brown colour with a ruby red hue. There was some trace brown foam but it passed quite quickly amd left a headless medium body with decent carbobation. Scent is almost entirely malt, bread, sweet caramel are very strong. Behind this is some dried fruit, currants and sultanas with a little bite of sour grapes. It's a nice mesh of sweet and sour. Mouthfeel was robustly foamy at first with decent carbonation and whilw this did diminish over time, it stopped short of going flat. Taste is a slight shift in the taste from the scent. The bread malt changes to a more generic, broader cereal profile, while the dried fruits become a little bit muted. They are still present but just feel a little washed out in lieu of a soft citrus bite. I had high expectations of this beer and I really think it delivered.

Sehr herbes und vollmundiges Helles.

Es hatte zwei Finger breit Schaum im Probierglas, der nicht lang anhält, und ein bisschen später eigentlich nicht mehr nennenswert ist. Fast blickdicht, so dunkel ist die Farbe des Bockes. In der Nase Röstig, Vanille, Toffee, starker Kaffee. Im Geschmack Röstig, Kaffee, Sherry. Dörrobst und sehr dunkle Schokolade. Keine nenneswerte Bitternis erkennbar. Aber auch nicht zu süß und verspielt. Aber trotzdem nicht zu süffig, wie so mancher heller Bock. Man merkt auch was man trinkt. Vanille und Toffee ist trotzdem immer erkennbar. Ein Bock zum genießen daheim vorm Kachelofen auch zu zweit. Nicht schlecht aber auch nicht für jeden Tag.
