Limpid, deep ruby beer with tame, short-lived carbonation unlocks a light-pink, cotton head that elevates up to half a finger maximum and shrinks soon to a hair-thin lacing on the surface. The withdrawing foam marks the glass with a few tiny vertical splashes only. The olfactory package is sweet: bags of fresh raspberry, some strawberry and mashed redcurrant. The raspberry penetrates determinedly to all the corners of the mouth. This is really awesome especially for the reason that the ABV is merely 4.2 %! In addition to raspberry, I experience lingonberry and redcurrant, followed by a suggestion of cranberry. The body is light. The beer finishes with massive sour raspberry and some other red berries, particularly redcurrant and lingonberry. A bit of wheat flour lingers somewhere in the shadows. The aftertaste remains in the mouth for a relatively long time. The mouthfeel is light, refreshing and very summery. It's also gardeny, somewhat tart, dry and only faintly puckering. Substantially juicy indeed. A perfect summer thirst quencher!
