Thunderstruck
5.8% Porter
This robust porter has a full body with some hints of chocolate from the Chocolate Malt and Midnight Wheat. The mild hop aroma showcases the roasted flavors and subtle fruit and spice notes of the artisan fair-trade, organic coffee, roasted in the neighboring town of Black Mountain at Dynamite Roasting Company.

At my son's house enjoying watching Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. And DeVonta and Dickerson. 🐘Roll Tide! It's been 5 years since I've had this beer. Wonder if it's still a 5.0. This is like an intense double caffeinated cup of coffee. No side flavors to worry about. There's no chocolate, no expresso, not particularly sweet. Coffee, coffee, coffee! It's a darn good beer and I like it but it's not a 5.0 for me any longer.

The well roasted malt really gives this coffee porter a nice kick. Pairs well with red meat.

Medium-high thick head. Faint aroma. Deep opaque brown color. Sharp, slightly bitter, coffee flavor. A definite toasty after taste and finish. Excellent coffee Porter, one of the best I've had.

A nice coffee porter. Not getting the chocolate they claim, but definitely a nice bitter coffee finish. Not much to the nose for me, but taste is fairly strong.
