La Mandragore is our winter black beer, comfortable and rich in taste.

Murky, dark brown beer. A seductive head: beige, dense moussy. Half a finger but long sustained.
Dark chocolate, light-roasted malt and a sweet coffeeish injection emanate to my nostrils. Not dry but surely not oversweet either. A good balance.
Dark chocolate, raw cacao powder, gently toasted coffee beans, light-roasted malt, a bit of cold-brew coffee and as if a touch of crushed nutmeg constitute the gustatory supply. I do agree that the balance here is remarkable. No edges.
The body is full. More or less... almost. The aftertaste loses part of the initial although manageable sweetness and gains moderate bitterness instead.
The mouthfeel is full, modestly roasty, velvety and creamy. A tasty dessert, no need to brush my teeth because of an overload of sugar. Balanced big time.
