Decent drink. Nice roasted malt aroma. Creamy mouthfeel. Roasted malt taste with a subtle liquorice note. Bitter finish but expected. Very smooth and easy drinking session ale that's not quite as smokey as expected but still very quaffable.

It does exactly what it says on the tin. Yes it's smokey.

Lacking the body of a porter, but ok.

Delicate smell and taste would of preferred a bit more of both
