La Trappe Tripel

La Trappe Tripel is a classic Trappist ale with a powerful, fruity and full taste. In addition, the ale has a candy-sweet and light-malty character with a slightly bitter and dry finish.

Tjrs à Koningshoeven. Je préfère à la dubbel. Goût plus fin et plus floral.

This beer looks semiclear, deep gold to pale amber. The carbonation keeps on its cheerful dance for a long time. A velvety off-white head reaches three fingers and melts gradually down.
The olfactory segment is relatively predictable: biscuit, cereal, banana, orange peel and a hint of tangerine.
The taste profile is classical and a tad sweet-leaning: I can spot biscuit, cereal, inverted sugar syrup, banana, orange peel, tangerine, mango and canned mandarin. Belgian yeast unlocks fruity esters in the palate.
The body is medium-full. The finish is similar to the actual taste experience although the alcoholic slam is probably marginally more pronounced now but still decently controlled.
The mouthfeel is medium-full, soft, intense and Belgiany. Traditional and true to the style. What not to like this?

Päärynää, aprikoosia ja aavistus banaanisuutta. Helposti juotava, eikä alko puske läpi. Belkihiivan tunnistaa helposti.
