Quadrupel is La Trappe’s heaviest ale with a stunning amber colour. Its warm and intense flavour is rich and finely balanced. Malty sweet, slightly burnt, and pleasantly bitter with a sweet aftertaste. Quadrupel continues to ferment after bottling and offers aromas of banana, almond, vanilla and others.

Makua löytyy, vaikea oikein kuvata miltä tarkalleen maistuu. Melkein kuin jotain siirappimaista makeutta. Tälläsenään ei kyllä mee mihkään henk. koht. suosikkeihin belgikaljoista. Hyvä ja kokeilemisen arvoinen silti. Pitää ehkä kokeilla isossa pullossa myytävää versiota joskus jos olisi parempi.

Zum Abschluss eines schönen Abendessens mit Austern, Fisch usw., jetzt noch ein Quadruple bei 105% Luftfeuchtigkeit und immer noch fast 30 Grad um 21:30. Der Antrunk ist weich und fruchtig, Pfirsich und Aprikose, kaum süß, aber aromatisch und außerdem sehr frisch, sehr gut komponiert. Die Bittere im Haupttrunk ist sehr gut abgestimmt, 10% Alkohol setzt allem leider gewisse Grenzen. Fruchtig und krautig, bis zum ewigen Nachtrunk. Wenn es nur nicht so alkoholisch wäre.
