I'm worried about trying this one. Upon uncapping the bottle, it foamed over for a good minute+ at a slow steady rate, before I decided to pour it. I'm worried it might be infected. Smells malty, bready and sweet. Here it goes. Whew! Got lucky. Taste is slightly bready with chocolate and coffee. A bit of bitterness. This is a damn good brown ale. It says it's an imperial brown ale, but at 7.7% abv, it's really not much stronger than a "normal" brown ale. It's got a great medium-full mouthfeel. Leaves a lingering coffee taste in the mouth with a hint of bitter chocolate. Despite the weird foaming over at the beginning, this is a great beer and highly recommended if you like brown ales. 4.25/5
