Bottle conditioning is a demanding art; knowledge and skill are needed at every stage in the process. A tiny residue of yeast is allowed to ferment in the bottle, developing character and depth of flavour over time just as fine vintage wines do.

A top beer in its own right, one of the best by Fullers! Pours a dark tawny colour with a sweet fruit cake aroma. The taste has fruity characteristics which harmonise perfectly with the biscuity malts amid a delightfully complex range of flavours. The finish is dry with strong notes of spices and raisin. Best poured slowly to get the maximum flavour.
