Deep dark brown beer, basically transparent but the dark hue doesn't allow much light to go through. The brisk carbonation releases a latte-hued airy head that grows three fingers tall. The foamy crown shrinks soon to a billowy lace ring and a thick haze. Dark malt, molasses and a bit of syrup in the air. Maybe also a whisper of raw chocolate. Quite promising. The taste is intensive: I'm spotting loads of molasses, dark malts, some of it with roasted elements, bitter syrup, marginal raw chocolate and surprisingly resinous hops. The body is medium-full to full. But not entirely full though. The end is identical to upfront. Relatively long tail. The mouthfeel is medium-full, intense, deep, heavy, faintly resinous, a bit dry but simultaneously lip-glueing, as well as slightly astringent. Interesting! And tasty!
