Opaque, pitch black beer with shy carbonation lays a meager head that colors sand and doesn't even spread on the whole surface. The lace ring dwindles soon to almost nil. The scent is substantially restrained: I find faint coffee, a hint of cacao nibs and roasted malt. The gustatory profile includes somewhat bitter roasted malt, light-roasted coffee beans and a proposal of raw cacao powder. In addition, I'm getting recognizeable licorice, a pinch of hops and a light-sour berry-like aroma. The body is light to light-medium. The beer finishes with raw cacao powder, modestly roasted coffee beans, a good amount of licorice and a roasty smack. The hoppy touch hasn't hidden anywhere. The aftertaste gives intriguing flavors to the tastebuds for a while. The mouthfeel is somewhat light, roasty and lip-glueing. It's also smooth and gluggable. A bit too average.

Nice stout but too strong

Une vraie stout bien dark, bien épaisse au goût fort prononcé de malt grillé et de chocolat avec une très forte amertume. Perso je suis pas trop fan mais les amateurs de ce type de produit pourraient être séduit par cette bière en provenance d’une jeune brasserie très novatrice de Rotterdam qui a le vent en poupe.

Ein cremiges, weiches und nach Kaffee schmeckendes Stout, welches mit Haferflocken gebraut wurde. Die fast 10% hat man kaum erkannt😁 Für zwischendurch ist es völlig in Ordnung.👍
