We are at Whiskey River Ranch in Texas for our annual SOTS reunion. This is our 36th gathering on the Guadalupe river. This is entry number five into our best beer contest. Festivities are now in full swing. Having this beer with Ryan and a couple of friends. This Devour series by Three Nations won last year's contest with a Cream Brulee. Anxious to see how this stacks up. Deep brown, decent head. Strong dark chocolate aroma with only the faintest amount of chili deep in the background. Doesn't have the soft milk chocolate texture I would expect. A little crisp and dry. But the Mexican chocolate flavor is dominating and good. Milk chocolate with a little chilly spice. Finish loses some of its effervescence. Really good beer and I'd love to have more.
