1 year BA reserve. Sormenleveyden verran erittäin vaaleanmaitokahvinväristä vaahtoa kirkkaan tummanpunaisen valoaläpipäästävän semiläpinäkyvän oluen yllä joka tuoksuu kepeän luumuisen hedelmäisen rusinaisen luumuisen maltaiselle ja maistuu makean lempeän alkoholisen rusinaisen katkeran rouhealle, kolme ja puoli bojoo. PE: ei ole. Pullotettu: ei näy; varmaan silleen reilu vuos sitte.

Something heavy for the evening. I guess this is 2018 vintage.
The beer pours lucid, dark brown beer with distinct ruby tint. The substantially introvert carbonation sets a latte-hued, silky head that covers the surface up to 5 millimeters only. Its retention is fairly long, particularly as a dense lace ring circling the top.
The nose experiences powerful raisin, a bit of date and dried plum as well as a gentle punch of mämmi and sweet rye malt. Generally speaking, the fragrance is straighforward and lacks complexity.
The tongue gets a colossal medley of raisin, dried plum and date, all soaked in dominant oaky Bourbon. The Bourbon is distinctly alcoholic and somewhat edgy, perhaps also immature. Furthermore, I can detect sweet rye malt, biscuit and a shy suggestion of cacao nibs. The taste profile could be more complex to interest me better.
The body is medium-full. The heavily alcoholic Bourbon steals every moment of sunshine. It hits the tastebuds like a hurricane. When the gustatory storm has settled, one can find the more familiar sweet nuances of raisin, dried plum, malt, biscuit and date. The aftertaste gives the tastebuds unbeatable challenge for a long time.
The mouthfeel is quite strong, heavy, a bit sticky and lip-glueing. It's also relatively thick and even nicely chewy. It goes without saying that the mouthfeel is significantly boozy and, hence, a bit chemical. Maybe I'm used to the feeling of alcohol since I'm not disturbed by it. Moreover, the mouthfeel is straighforward and predictable but not necessarily one-dimensional. Somewhat desserty and definitely slow. Really slow.

I really want to like this brewery but the recent experiences or what I've heard haven't been so good.
Bottle. Best before:?
Temperature: +11 degrees
Hazy, Amber-brown color. Tan head with decent life. Some of the foam stays forever at the edges. Suprisingly much carbonation bubbles are riding towards the surface. Very good texture: 4/5
Nose: caramel, toffee and fruity sweetness. Then comes the barrel aging with somewhat cheap feeling bourbon. Bigger snif founds alcohol warmth. Good but medicore: 3,5/5
Mouthfeel is full with a medium Carbonation. Bitterness feels nicely. Warming alcohol is evident. Nice: 4,5/5
Taste: fruity, caramel, oak, Bourbon, a bit boozy/hot alcohol. Earthy flavour which is almost soil-like. Aftertaste started as a lingering and bitter but then turns into a boozy/hot fumes. Some off-flavours in here: 8/15
This has a Untappd rating of 4,3 stars and a RateBeer rating of 99/98. Seriously WTF?! Theres definately some off-flavours and this isn't even the only beer from this brewery, which really isn't that good. I think I'm going to leave these beers to other people. Not a bad beer despite the off-flacors, but a very average one: 13/20
