A layover beer @ FRA. The appearance is relatively lucid, the color is amber. A clean white, velvety foam emerges on the top exceeding one finger. The citrusy scent is surprisingly restrained. The taste basically confirms the citrusy presence: resin, grapefruit peel, a bit of lemon pith and relatively strong supportive malt. Obviously a malt-forward WCIPA. No change in the end. The sensation is medium, crisp, slightly dry and drying. A harmless piece that leans toward the old school albeit not being exactly there.

Gezapft bei Überquell an den Landungsbrücken. Stylischer Laden, als Essen fast ausschließlich Pizza. Das West Coast IPA zeigt sich lecker fruchtig nach Mango und Maracuja, also ein sehr typisches IPA, wie ich es jenseits des großen Teichs erwarten würde. Passt! Könnte aber einen Tick herber nach hinten raus sein.
