It pours a dark reddish-brown colour with a dark cream coloured head. Aroma is citrusy. Flavour is initially quite sharp and yeasty, leading to citrus and roasted malts. Quite heavy to drink.

Red IPA, my favourite.
Pour was smooth and trouble free, left a deceptive body that is chocolate brown with one finger of off white head. The body has a mild red hue around the edges and when put against the light turns a brilliant shade of ruby red.
Aromas are caramel and sweet biscuit at first with dried fruit and overripe mango coming in after.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and very smooth, only mildly foamy and I think it must not have travelled well as there is no carbonation.
Taste is brown bread and pale malt, starting with bitter notes before dried fruit and candied orange peel come in to strike a contrast. Nutmeg and cinnamon are present throughout in the background and the overripe mango eventually rolls in the complete the lot.
Not the best ripa but I will have to give it another go if I see it again.

Nice roasted malt aroma. Malty taste with a nice berry fruit note mixed in. Slight bitter notes lead to a subtle, almost creamy finish. An enjoyable drink and a good session ale, even at its ABV, but take it steady, people, as it's very quaffable.
