Tummaa suklaata, kahvia... Nam!

Tummanruskea, samea. Vadelman tuoksu. Erikoinen yhdistelmä vadelmaa ja mantelia. Varsin toimiva silti. Jälkimaussa on tosin jokin outo kitkeryys.

Another one for Friday evening. Imperial Brown Ale. Often a tasty beerstyle although fairly rare. The appearance is sludgy brown. Muddy. The carbonation is introverted and produces a cappuccino-hued froth that reaches half a finger. Eventually, the surface calms down. The scent gives raspberry, blackberry, dark plum, coffee and a bitter malty punch. Well well... not exactly what I expected, especially the berries pop up arrogantly from the olfactory supply. The taste is a tad raw and sharp: raspberry is mashy, not sweet but tart. Bold. Resembles blackberry and further gives ideas of dark plum and purple damson. Coffee is in the form of crushed coffee bean. Roasted dark malt, salted licorice, rye cracker, a hint of nut and an oaky slam can also be identified in the set of flavors. The end doesn't really change anything in the journey. The mouthfeel is sharp, raw, woody and medium to medium-full. Adjuncted but the application of the adjuncts hasn't been successful in my opinion. The weakest Imperial Brown Ale of my experience horizon.

Aika kepee brown, mut vadelma on hyvää.

Paksu poika moottorisahan kanssa tarvitsee tuhtia palautumisjuomaa 🪚 Vadelma, manteli ja laktoosi loi hieman ennakkoluuloja, mutta tämähän on oikeasti hyvää. Vadelma maistuu, muttei ollenkaan äklösti. Paras brown ale mitä olen juonut.

Kahvimainen musta olut, tummapaahtoisen kahvin maku jää suuhun, kaipaisi sen vesilasillisen. Alkoa on ei maistu, tuntuu kyllä.
