With patience and time, the beer not only absorbs the character of the freshly emptied bourbon barrels, but also develops expressions of toasted marzipan and dried fruit—signature to Original Stout. Goose Island brings these flavors to the forefront with 2025 Bourbon County Brand Chocolate Praline Stout. First aged in freshly emptied bourbon barrels, this stout draws inspiration from the underlying decadence of chocolate, caramel, and roasted nuts found in Original. Layered with a blend of cocoa nibs, hazelnuts, almonds, cashews, and dates, this full-bodied stout showcases the classic flavors of a chocolate praline while embracing the subtle nuances imparted by the bourbon barrel. 14.6% ABV.

Kuin se kaunein kedon kukka, lisätyllä toffeella sekä suklaalla. Herkullinen!? VAAHTO: Periaatteessa olematon. GREY’S VIEW Bourbon Tynnyröity, Suklaa-teemainen Bourbon County Brand Stout Ensisiemaus. On pehmeä, ihastuttavan jykevä, vankka, laadukas, puhdas ja runsas. Maussa löydän samettisen pehmeää suklaata ja toffeeta. Kermakaramellin läsnäolo on selkeä. Pieni, karrelle palanut saunapuu myös mukana. Toki myös tammipuu, suklaa ganache ja aivan lievä pieni pähkinä tuolla tuntuu. Runko on BCBS uskollinen, eli helppoa mustaa. Kerrassaan antavaa ja varsinkin näinä aikoina hintansa väärti. Kivasti se näykkii poskipäitä. MUUTA MAINITTAVAA: Upeaa mustaa! Suosittelen! Really lovely aroma. Plenty of dark chocolate, caramel, a bit of almond, and some whisky. The mouthfeel is slightly sweet, balanced, smooth, good body and still very easy to drink. The flavour immediately brings chocolate pralines to mind. There’s lots of dark chocolate, whisky, chocolate pralines, almond, nuts and caramel. The aftertaste warms the chest nicely and leaves a dark chocolate praline note in the mouth, supported by a pleasant whisky character. This is a really good beer! Very well balanced, and the flavour profile works beautifully. One of the best Bourbon County Brand Stout releases in a while. ___________________ Ompa tosi kiva tuoksu. Runsaasti tummaa suklaata, karamelliä, vähän mantelia ja viskiä. Suutuntuma on runsas, makeahko, ryhdikäs, tasapainoinen, pehmeä ja kuitenkin oikein helposti juotava. Maku tuo heti mieleen suklaakonvehdit. Maussa on paljon tummaa suklaata, viskiä, suklaakonvehteja, mantelia, pähkinää ja karamelliä. Jälkimaku lämmittää kivasti rintaa ja jättää suuhun tumman suklaakonvehdin maun, joka kiva viskisyys tukee. On kyllä hyvä olut! Tosi hyvin tasapainossa ja makupaletti toimii tosi hyvin. Onnistuneimpia Bourbon County Brand Stout -sarjan oluita hetkeen.
