🇨🇭 one more time this year. A new Christmas Ale on tap. I'll take it, of course. Looks sludgy, medium raisin brown. A creamy velvety head emerges on the top, less than one finger in height and soon a lace ring plus a molten haze only. Caramel, toffee, date, cookie and sweet malt in the fragrance. Christmassy, indeed! Date, caramel, raisin, sweet malt and faint toffee on the tongue. Fairly similar to the olfactory sphere but different weights. A medium to medium-full body. Meets the standard. Ends with the same sweet-leaning cocktail as upfront. Perhaps a marginal alcoholic twist emerges at the very end. Feels Christmassy, lip-glueing, moderately heavy, soft and smooth. Surprisingly intriguing but a whole pint could be a bit excessive.
