The Biiig Juuuiiice, France
4.0
After an exceptionally hectic Friday, this big juice can probably help me to shift to the weekend mode. And mood. The beer is dressed in misty, deep mango yellow. A frail milky tint glows in the beer. The carbonation is fairly obedient but the moussy off-white head shoots four fingers high. The foamy cap shrinks naturally lower but is still sustained as quite generous for a longer time. The scent is beautiful. Tropical vibes. Cantaloupe, mango, nectarine, blood orange, tangerine, maybe a hint of peach in the air. Slightly biscuity but definitely soft. The softness surrenders on the tongue. The citruses try to take the lead here. I'm spotting grapefruit, lemon, raw mango, passionfruit and green grape. No biscuit, rather a pinch of wheat maybe. Interestingly, I can pick distinct nectarine and then, at times, I don't find it at all. The body is light-medium to medium. The finish is citrusy, marginally grassy. And long-lasting. The sensation is light-medium, zesty, relatively dry, drying and a bit crisp. Tropical or not? Quite tropical in the air but not really at all on the tastebuds. I wouldn't call this complex but I like the fact that the fragrance and the taste give different experiences. A solid piece in any case. NOTE: The barcode gives a similar sounding Tree House beer.
